Rare infrequent posts

Yes I blog rarely and today I want to say I blog more at Xanga....

Yes I feel there is not so much of an audience (and xanga will show even footprints) since I have seen only one comment...

Then again how much verbage I can write about installing televisions?

Well today we ripped off a lady of her $150 by hooking up her new 32 inch sony television. She probably paid $700 and paid $100 for a hdmi cord. We told her to return the cord and buy ours for $50. We set up her DVD and wasn't able to set up her satellite box. Instead we told her to get an upgrade and that the satellite company would fix/set it up for her. But at least we gave her an hour of our time and probably she is on the road to watching television that was broken for at least a month....

Learning how to record videos.

I got a psp that will play videos. I will have to learn how to do videos by either paying for a program, learn from somebody or keep practicing.

I will have to start buying more Memory Sticks (which went down in price) and get into gear, because if I slack off I will put this project into limbo...

Starting expenses: A Camera, Sony Cybershot DSC-P10, PSP ($160) and memory sticks ($20-30)

The Apartment tenant protection law

Los Angeles has an inspector that inspects rented apartments. If you hav peeling paint, lose or wbbly lavatories or wobbly water heaters the inspectors will find them and cite the landlord.

Today we went to my friends apartment to survey the amount of work needed for his apartment. We cleaned out the clothes dryer lint catcher, and helped move in a couch to the upstairs.

I will have to return there this week to fix the water heater vent and support the lavatory properly. For this job I got a free lunch and dinner, and did not have to drive to the site. Being a freelance worker is not too bad but sometimes I worry if I can fix the place or not.

Pre-Halloween shopping

Went to Target this evening and it was mildly busy. I am sure during the Christmas season Target will be more busy than Halloween. I was perusing the Halloween displays and some of the costumes that were being sold. I guess for those folks who have no tailors or mothers that sew, the readymade costumes are heaven sent.

Maybe tomorrow in the afternoon there will be even more last minute shoppers for costumes and candies? Too bad I won't be there, it is worse when people do last minute grocery shopping for Thanksgiving in my mind...

Bid Bi-monthly show

In the plaza of Chinatown last sunday they had a free sideshow. The first one was a bunch of Kng-fu kicks and spins. The second show was the flexible Emily who did some back bending that was unbelievable for even a yoga master....

The third exhibit was the balancing girl. She was able to balance two eggs on top of each other.

Renewing my blog

I just re-did my password but mainly so I can leave comments on other people's blogs. So far I am fine with xanga but hey you need to sign up for more blogs in different areas.

So far today I am unfocused and am also watching an Olmec documentary at the same time as blogging.

Maybe later I will learn to post pictures here at my blog....
